HTML Portal ApplicationThe HTML Portal Application is an HTML browser using WebKit as browser engine. The application is sometimes referred to as "WebKit", the Portal, or the Primary Application. Access to IP-STB Services in WebKitKreaTV supports web standards and JavaScript standards. For portal designers, there is a specific API called TOI, which gives portals access to a number of services in the KreaTV platform. Through this API, the portal developer can get access to all KreaTV platform services in order to provide control over for instance video playback and configuration.
The current version of this interface is TOI3/JS, which is implemented as a webservice hosted in the STB platform. For detailed information on how to set up a portal with the necessary bootstrapping to enable TOI access, please refer to the chapter on TOI3 Bootstrapping.
